Grant for investments in agricultural processing

Objective: 

Increasing the efficiency and added value of agricultural processing, the production of high value-added products, including organic products, boosting productivity, and the production of exportable, innovative products.

Grant applicant: 

  • Existing agricultural processing company.

  • Existing producer of primary agricultural products intending to start processing agricultural products (processing of at least 70% of the volume of their products and the processing capacity shall not exceed the volume of agricultural products self produced, which is intended to be processed).

  • Manufacturer at home engaged in processing agricultural product.

  • Co-operative society or association of co-operative societies carrying out or planning to carry out processing of agricultural products.

Eligible actions:

  • Purchase and installation of new equipment, machinery, devices, information technology and software intended for the processing of agricultural products and related pre-processing and packaging.

  • Construction of new building and renovation and renovation of existing  structures intended for the processing of agricultural products, related pre-treatment and packaging.

Eligible costs:

  • Purchase and installation costs of new equipment, machinery, devices, IT and software.

  • Construction of new buildings and reconstruction of existing buildings.

  • General costs (incl. costs of expert-examination, construction supervision, author supervision etc.).

Amount and intensity of aid: 

Export-capable processing company (exports at least 15% of total turnover)

Intensity of aid: 20 - 50%

Processing company that develops or implements the processing of organic agricultural products

Co-operative society

Amount of aid (EUR): 600 000 - 1 500 000

Eligible costs of fixed assets, construction and reconstruction cannot exceed applicant’s prior year’s turnover from agricultural production and processing activities more than 5 times

Implementation term:

  • If construction is carried out (or construction together with the purchase of equipment and machinery), the project must be implemented within 2 years from the moment of project approval.

  • If equipment and machinery are purchased, the project must be implemented within 1 year from the moment of project approval.

List of documents to be submitted: 

  • Project application form.

  • Business plan (if eligible costs >EUR 700,000).

  • Grant applicant’s declaration.

  • Credit institution's decision on granting a loan or documents proving the availability of financial resources (if eligible costs >EUR 300,000).

  • A long-term lease agreement or documents certifying building rights has been registered in the Land Register (if applicable).

  • Documents certifying the procurement procedure.

  • Description of the technological process, sketches and equipment layout scheme (if equipment is installed).

  • Declaration on the qualification of an enterprise as a micro, small or medium-sized enterprise.

  • Statement of the use of zero-waste technology in processing or the use of environmentally friendly packaging (if applicable).

  • Building permit or explanatory note or certification card (if applicable);

  • Construction project (if applicable).

  • Cooperation agreement on the purchase of basic raw material of local origin or confirmation of the conformity of the purchased raw material (if applicable).

  • Statement issued by the Regional Environmental Board of the State Environmental Service on what polluting activity will be carried out within the project.

  • Labelling of products that meet the recommended food selection criteria (if applicable).

  • Statement from scientific institution on the compliance of the planned innovation with the definition of innovation (if applicable).

  • Supporting documents for export potential.
